Natalie Metzger, Middle School Dean of Students
metzger@monroecatholicschools.com
(734)241-3377 Hello! My name is Natalie Metzger, and I am excited to be starting this upcoming 2022-2023 school year as your new Dean of Students at MCES and SMCC! I was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio, and now reside in Sylvania with my husband, John, and our new puppy, Rudy! I grew up playing basketball and have a great passion for the game. My husband and I enjoy riding our bikes, spending time with family, and traveling! I have spent 13 years growing up through Catholic education at Christ the King Elementary and Notre Dame Academy. My husband and I are now parishioners at Christ the King Catholic Church. These Catholic schools have helped shape the core values and beliefs that I have carried with me throughout my life, with faith and family being at the core. After graduation from Notre Dame Academy, I continued to The University of Toledo, where I received my bachelor’s in Special Education. Since then, I have been teaching in a public-school setting at K-12 schools in the Toledo area, as an Intervention Specialist, for the past 6 years. Currently, I am completing my Master of Education Degree at Lourdes University in Educational Leadership to be completed this summer. Reconnecting with Catholic education through my time at Lourdes has inspired me to find my way back to the Catholic school communities. I am thrilled to work with students, teachers, and fellow administrators at MCES and SMCC! This role has given me the opportunity to pursue my passion for being an integral part of the students’ character-building process. My goal is to provide students with the tools to be successful followers of Jesus and productive citizens of society. I love meeting new people, so if you see me, say “Hey, Mrs. Metz!”. |
