Grade Scale
At Monroe Catholic Elementary Schools, student achievement is measured regularly by teacher observation of daily work and a combination of standardized and teacher-developed testing. Parents of students in second through eighth grades can check Power School at any time; report cards are issued at the end of each quarter.
The Archdiocese of Detroit has issued changes to the grading scale for the 2015/2016 school year. Standards based grading will now appear on the report card for students in grades 2-5 in English Language Arts and Math courses. Parent-teacher conferences are encouraged and can be scheduled with the teacher before or after school hours. Formal Conferences are held annually in November. Check the school calendar for the dates this year. |
