We are pleased to share the results of our accreditation process by the Michigan Association of Nonpublic Schools. In our letter from the AOD we were blessed to share that we are accredited and have received some very high praise from our accreditation team. Highlights from the letter include:
- "It was our pleasure to review their self-study. Their efforts in promoting the gospel of Jesus Christ in your Catholic school have been an inspiration to our team."
- "Monroe Catholic Elementary Schools has an incredible sense of faith and community. The Catholic identity is evident from the moment you walk through the doors of all three schools. With the support of the leadership team and your pastors you provide all students with the opportunity to encounter Christ daily."
- "The dedication of the faculty and staff was obvious as we toured the schools and walked through the hallways. You are to be commended for your faith and strength during what must have been a difficult transition in previous years. MCES, and its current leadership team, are and should be the model for Catholic school consolidation in the Archdiocese."
- "Monroe Catholic Elementary School was thoroughly reviewed by the Site Team according to the National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Elementary and Secondary Schools and is affirmed for full accreditation through the Michigan Non-Public Schools Accrediting Agency (MNSAA)."
Time to sign-up your student for fall CYO sports. All students who will be in 4th - 8th grades next year should sign-up now to be placed on teams for this fall. Football, Volleyball, Cheerleading and Soccer are all available. The three city of Monroe Parishes are working together to leverage financial resources and team planning for the future. All three Parishes will pay the same amount and all funds starting this fall will be held together to allow for uniform and equipment planning. We will have as many teams as possible for all grades, so register now so we can plan for August 8 when conditioning will start. Each player needs a 2016 registration form, Sportsmanship/insurance form, concussion form and a physical signed by a doctor.
