Dear MCES Families,
In years past we have kicked off the school year with the Morley Candy Fundraising sale. We are so thankful for all the funds that were raised over the years by this effort and very thankful for the parents who made it possible. This year rather than having the Morley Candy Fundraising Sale, we thought we would give you the opportunity to directly fund some of the outstanding needs of the school directly. While sales like the candy are helpful we receive, on average, 50% of the cost you pay. With a direct charitable gift, we receive 100% of your gift.
The two areas that MCES would like to request you consider donating to are:
1. Chromebooks and tablets to help replace our aging iPads
2. Education in Virtue supplies for our Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) Program
Last year through a grant we were able to get two Chromebook Carts and corresponding Chromebooks that are in the two first floor classrooms at our St. Mary Campus to service our 6th, 7th and 8th grade classrooms. We would like to also have a set of Chromebooks available to students in the second floor 5th grade classrooms and to introduce Chromebooks to our St. John campus to support our STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) work with the students. For St. Michael campus we would like to get a new set of tablets for the technology electives, to accommodate the newest applications for our students. Students in 5th through Kindergarten are currently using generation 1 and 2 iPads that are dying almost daily.
As you know, we have moved to Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) Programs for all of our behavior modification plans (Make, Care, Embrace, Seek) to help our teachers root this program in the teachings of our faith, we would like to purchase classroom sets of the virtues card and corresponding posters all created by The Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist.
Transparency is very important to MCES so we hope you will enjoy this chance to help fund critical programs for our school community. We hope you will consider replacing what you might have spent on Morley Candy, where only a percent of the money came back to the school, with a direct gift to MCES. If any of your friends and family members would like to also donate to this effort, I have enclosed additional donation cards for their review.
We thank you for your consideration and all that you do to support our MCES School Community.
Peace and blessings,
Mrs. Marting, Executive Director
Mrs. Zawistowicz, Principal 5th – 8th Grades
Mr. Kubik, Principal PreK – 4th Grades
Mrs. Welton, Early Childhood Director

To achieve the three large goal areas outlined in our STEAM and PBIS/Virtues fundraising we need to reach:
$2,165 for our PBIS/Virtues materials, $6,000 for our new tablets and $15,000 for our Chromebooks
for a Grand Total Goal of $23,165.
As of October 13 we have raised $5,470 from the following individuals.
If we all take the time to give, we can reach our goal. Please consider making your gift before October 27.
