Meet Miss Jaskot:
Hello!
My name is Brittany Jaskot. I graduated from Eastern Michigan University where I double majored in Elementary Education and Reading. I have plans to take my reading certification exam in the next couple of months. I am applying for a Master of Arts in Reading program at Eastern within the next couple of years also!
This is my first year teaching at MCES- St. John Campus. I am so excited to be here, and am truly blessed to be working with the best of the best. Prior to this school year, I spent a year working for Monroe Public Schools at the Middle School teaching Instructional Support in 7th grade. I am so excited to be in 3rd grade this school year, my favorite grade of all time!
I live in Carleton with my family and we attend St. Patrick's (Divine Grace). I have 2 doggos, a Black Lab named Poppy, and a Boxer named Dawson. We also have a cat that lives in our barn, and his name is Timbers. I enjoy reading and spending time with my family at our favorite campground.
I am super excited to be a part of MCES-St. John Campus! I am looking forward to working with students, parents and staff to make this the best year possible. My philosophy of teaching is to obtain a safe learning environment for all my students in which they feel comfortable to express their feelings, take risks, and learn to their highest potential. I will instill a love of learning in my students and help them to develop a positive, caring, and respectful attitude. I will allow my students to feel success and to learn from their mistakes. I want every student to leave my classroom with a smile on his/her face and a desire to learn in his/her heart.
