Welcome to Ms. Mientkiewicz's AM/PM 3 year old preschool !!!
I am delighted to welcome you and your child to preschool. I hope that you had a fun, safe, and relaxing summer! I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself and express my excitement about working with you and your child this year.
I am a graduate of Madonna University with a Bachelors of Arts degree with minors in Social Science, Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. I earned my Masters in the Art of Teaching degree from Marygrove College. I have been teaching for 19 years. I taught in Catholic schools for 3 years at the beginning of my career, moved on into the charter and public schools for 13 years and for the past 3 years MCES has been my home. Most of my career has been spent teaching kindergarten. My passion and my heart are with the younger students.
It is my goal to ensure your child's preschool experience is full of growth academically, spiritually, and socially. I believe that students learn the best in a positive, nurturing, structured, and hands-on environment. It is important that we work together so each child reaches his or her fullest potential.
Weekly Focus: introducing and exploring the letter Ee, counting to 20, count by 10s to 100, tracing letters, numbers, shapes and our names, cutting with scissors, using glue sticks
Religion: Making the sign of the cross, learning before meal prayer, learning about Lent, reading the bible story of Brave Queen Esther
Homework: Blank sheets coming home for name printing practice. They can use crayons, markers, pencils, or highlighters to print their name. Homework is due next Monday. There is also a little letter book. Please practice putting on coats and trying to zip or button them up.
Have a wonderful week!!!
